Join us to explore our nation’s beautiful capital to celebrate the 65th Annual Tulip Festival. This is "a celebration founded on friendship" and is the world’s largest tulip festival. The festival began in 1945 when the Dutch royal family gave 100,000 tulip bulbs in appreciation of Canada providing a safe haven for the Dutch royal family, the birth of the Dutch princess, and the role of Canadian troops during WWII in freeing the Netherlands. For more details on events and history, see http://tulipfestival.ca/. Tickets cover transportation to and from Ottawa. The festival is open attendance.
This is your chance to explore Canada's capital, activities are self lead so if you would like to explore the various museums, markets and more sites the day is open for you to enjoy.
