Just a few more months until the school year will already come to an end! The days of summer are closing in on us and the time is ticking for a new board to rise. This means that Off-Screen's search for the board of 2018-2019 has commenced. Do you see yourself as a new board member? Would you like to have a year full of developments, challenges and activities you can fill in yourself?
This is YOUR shot at becoming one of the new board members! Everyone who is an Off-Screen member and studies Media & Culture or Media & Information can become a board member. Note: it is NOT a necessity that you have been an active member or have been part of a committee. In the e-mail we have send you, you will find a file with more specific information on each function within the board.
How to apply:
Send your resume/cv and a motivational letter (not more than one A4) to email@example.com before Thursday the 26th of April, 23:59. Make sure to mention why you would like to be in the board and what makes you a suitable candidate (for your specific position) in your letter. You can also send an open application which is meant for applicants whom wish to apply for more than one position.
If your letter suffices, you will be invited to have an interview with the Application Committee (AC), which consists of Milan Peters (Media- and Educational Activities Commissioner 2015-2016), Noa Selles (Media- and Educational Activities Commissioner 2016-2017), Donna Kersten (Vice President 2016-2017) and Josephine Hoendervangers (Head of Travels 2017-2018).
These interviews will take place between the 7th and the 20th of May. After all of the interviews have been held, the AC will meet up multiple times to form the best possible new board. At the General Member Assembly (GMA) of the 11th of June, the AC will present the new candidate-board.
We can imagine you still have many questions. That’s why there will be a Board Q&A on Tuesday the 24th of April from 18:00-19:00 at OMHP C1.05. We will discuss and look at each position and also talk about the board-year in general. We suggest that if you have any questions about being on the board or the application process, feel free to come to ’t Hok or send a message to one of the board members!
