#var:page_name# cover

Week of the Young Child™ is a time when we can reach out in our communities to help work toward the guarantee that all young children thrive and learn in a society dedicated to ensuring they reach their full potential. You are one of the crucial elements in building a community that supports our earliest learners and we hope you will join us.

Our Neighborhood is coming together and celebrating through playing The Brain Architecture Game together. The Brain Architecture Game was developed by the Harvard University Center on the Developing Child as an effective and engaging way to introduce the science of early brain development. Our Neighborhood will be hosting two games Monday April 16th and and Wednesday April 18th during the week of the young child. The first session will be from 5-6 pm and the second session will be from 6:15-7:15 pm. This is a free event that is open to the public.

This is a time to show your support for early education and we look forward to connecting with you. Our Neighborhood is located at 2110 Ivy Road in Charlottesville. We will be meeting upstairs in the two year old classroom. Parking may be limited, so we have collaborated with our colleagues at Wells Fargo, SunTrust, and St. Mark Lutheran Church to provide additional spaces.
