Good Friday Divine Service

ALL are invited to join us on Friday evening in a very somber and meaningful Service as we stand at the foot of the cross of Christ, recognizing that it is our sin that placed Him there, but rejoicing that in His crucifixion forgiveness is made ours.

In addition, if you’re near the church during the day on Good Friday, you may wonder why the church bell keeps tolling. Here’s why: The bell will toll 3 times at 9:00 am (“the third hour” - Mark 15:25), the hour at which Jesus was crucified. The bell will then toll 6 times at 12:00 pm (“the sixth hour” - Mark 15:33), the hour that darkness came upon the earth. Finally, the bell will toll 33 times at 3:00 pm, the hour that Jesus died, one toll for each year of His earthly life. When you hear the tolling of our church bell or wherever you are when these times pass on Good Friday, please take a moment and meditate on what Jesus accomplished for you on the cross.
