Our lower backs take a beating! We demand a lot of our low back and hips and that wear and tear can easily catch up with us. Lower back pain is the most common type of chronic pain and it can disrupt our enjoyment of even simple activities.
This workshop is recommended for students interested in creating more balance in their bodies and specifically seeking to decompress and heal issues in the lower spine and SI joints.
This workshop will be led by LizziDee Levin, Certified Yoga Therapist and is based in the therapeutic, alignment focused Iyengar Method. In it, we will identify postural habits and pelvic imbalances that can either cause or aggravate existing injury. Participants will learn how to perform yoga postures that correct posture and address common imbalances, reducing pain and preventing future injury.
This workshop is appropriate for students with a range of spinal conditions and injuries or for those simply experiencing occasional discomfort. No prior yoga experience is required.
