The Texarkana Museums System invites you to discover the Birds of Arkansas in a special exhibit of the Gardner Egg Collection at the P. J. Ahern Home. This special collection contains eggs collected by special license by Charles Gardner, Jr. during the 1930s and 1940s. There are over 100 birds represented in this historic collection. From the American Coot to the Yellow-crowned Night Heron, visitors will be able to explore the unique characteristics of Arkansas' bird population and learn about their habitat.
The exhibit is part of the regularly scheduled guided tour of the P. J. Ahern Home. Tour times are Monday - Saturday 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:25 p.m. or Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and 4:25 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. TMS Members are free.
