Tea has a long history. It is so common it is not accorded the appreciation it deserves for a beverage that started as a precious medicine. Its wonderful flavours are comparable to coffee, but only a few understand specialty tea. For tea newbies who are serious about learning or someone who is simply looking to chillax on tea while listening to tea stories from time gone by, this interactive session allows you to explore the world of tea while you get to brew about 4 teas using traditional or alternate methods, with some snacks to munch along. Enjoy tea the way it should be - "neat", without blending or sweetening. You will find that it tastes better than the commercially sweetened and cheese-laden "teas".
This is on a free tipping system - pay as you like.
We are all learning from each other. The lead student for this session is Dave Lim, who is national champion for tea brewing and tea pairing in the Tea Masters Cup Singapore 2017, and 3rd prize winner for tea pairing in Tea Masters Cup International 2017 held in China. He is also a silver medallist for roasting at the Australia International Coffee Awards 2017, and an authorised certifier under the auspice of Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
