Up-and-coming composer/pianist ade ishs is presenting a night to remember with original music from his latest DVD, “ade ishs Trio Live” as well as his newer compositions. Joining him in this show are accomplished Melbourne musicians, bassist Frank Di Sario and drummer Alex Roper.
ade’s music has been described as “strong … and beautiful” (Ivan Lloyd, ABC Jazz, November 2013), “sensational and colourful” (Angela Jones, Inner FM, August 2014), and “expressive” (Steve Sedergreen, October 2014).
After living his formative years in Indonesia, ade migrated to Australia. He has performed together with Dung Nguyen (Australia), Geoff Kluke (Australia), Daigo Nakai (Germany), Benny Likumahuwa (Indonesia), Candra Malik (Indonesia), and many other musicians in Australia and Indonesia of various genres. He has been invited to play at such prestigious festivals as Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues, St Kilda Festival, and Eltham Jazz, Food & Wine Festival. More recently, he served as the Musical Director of Celebration of Indonesia, a musical depicting various Eastern Indonesian cultures in the forms of music, dance, and drama showcased to a packed crowd at the Melbourne Town Hall.
