Infusion Therapies for Advanced Parkinson's Disease: Team Management

The course on infusion therapies for Parkinson’s disease aims to provide education including theoretical and practical aspects of continuing dopaminergic therapies: Apomorphine injections and infusion, and Intrajejunal levodopa infusion. The course includes lectures on management of motor complications in advanced Parkinson’s disease; indications and contraindications for infusion therapies, patient selection, adverse events and complications. Interactive workshops focus on practical management of pumps, dosing details, and live patient demonstrations.

-Describe pharmacology, indications and contraindications, adverse effects and complications of pump therapies
-Demonstrate practical management of infusion pumps
-Neurologists, movement disorders specialists and neurologists in training
