The week of April 8 to April 14 is recognized nationally as 2018 National Crime Victims' Rights Week. To promote a thoughtful discussion on domestic violence and other violent crimes, The Clermont County Alliance on Violence will host a luncheon on April 12 at Pattison Park Lodge from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Lunch and networking will take place from 11:30 a.m. until noon, followed by speakers and presentations from noon until 1:00 p.m. The speakers will include Chief Assistant Prosecutor Darren Miller, Chief Deputy Chris Stratton of the Clermont Sheriff’s Office and Jennifer, a survivor of domestic violence.
To further the Allstate Foundation Purple Purse’s work of supporting those affected by domestic violence, the Julie Hamon Agency will donate a purple purse to YWCA Greater Cincinnati’s House of Peace Shelter. These limited-edition, Italian handcrafted leather purple handbags are designed by tennis champion and Purple Purse ambassador Serena Williams. During the luncheon, the YWCA Greater Cincinnati’s House of Peace Shelter will hold a raffle for the purple purse that will help further their efforts to provide shelter and resources for survivors of domestic violence. We encourage you to support this great cause at the luncheon!
