PSPL is proud to host an evening of readings by Kentucky writers as part of a state-wide celebration of Kentucky Writers’ Day in honor of the 113th anniversary of the birth of Robert Penn Warren and of the Commonwealth’s strong literary traditions. Warren, born in Guthrie, Kentucky, became the first U.S. Poet Laureate and was the winner of three Pulitzer prizes in fiction and poetry. Featured readers will include former Kentucky Poet Laureate Richard Taylor and poets Leatha Kendrick and Jeff Worley.
The evening will begin with an open mic session at 6:00pm followed by the readings at 6:30pm.
