Our 3rd Equine Coaches Pub Night!
A new venue, booked by Caroline so she can stagger, sorry, walk home afterwards!
On the 1st night 10 rocked up and pies were eaten whilst experiences were compared, exercises swopped (horse ones) and news caught up on. We also did a bit on coaching theory but it didn't get heavy ;-)....the 2nd night happens next week and I suppose I should get organised a bit but I was firmly told that "work" should not get in the way of fun and who am I to argue! I thought we might chat a bit about how and why we got into coaching, how we feel about it now and our goals and hopes for the future? I have little idea what we will get up to in April but it will be fun.....
Riding Coaches Social and Brainstorming Meeting to catch up with old friends and meet new ones - stealing ideas and revitalising enthusiasm.
For more details read on.....
Are you a riding coach/instructor/trainer living close(ish) to Chesham, Bucks?
This is our 3rd monthly(ish) pub night / get together for local equine professional coaches.
We mostly work freelance or with the same few people each day and recent experience, in particular, has shown me that it can really revitalise your enthusiasm and teaching (sorry coaching😂) if you meet new/other people with new ideas. 😀
The ironic thing is I love my own company and I hate parties🤢. Yet I am suggesting these evenings as I surprised myself by thoroughly enjoying a recent 3 day coaches course with 20 strangers. It bought into sharp focus that I had been feeling isolated in my work.
I know we all do CDPs but this will be different..........A different pub venue each time to suit those turning up. Buy your own drinks (and bar snacks) and have a chat and get together with a bit of a theme......gadgets.... the best shoulder in......hangover cures.... .. recovering confidence....what to do when.....hastening recovery after injury... .feeding.......building cross country fences .......competitions.......competition nerves.........training tips..........practicing answering exam type questions......... exams venues........insurance.........planning...........pole exercises.....best books to read....portfolio ideas. .. .favourite training websites.... ..practice your presentation for your next exam in front of a friendly (if possibly slightly inebriated crowd if the car sharing goes well!) ........hangman😜.....charades.......dominos..... .anything really........ EDIT Hopefully there may be a bit of structure to the event or perhaps I shall wait and see what you want to talk about...........
But mostly I am suggesting we have a chinwag and social catchup with people we like/get on with/have lots in common with but don't often see, and when we do it's just to wave across an arena/course/field/car park! 😀
The worst that can happen is that David and I will be sat there by ourselves and that will be great too😉
If you are thinking of coming it would be really helpful if you would click the appropriate button on this event or message me.
Looking forward to seeing you there?!
