We’ll bring together town staff, residents, neighbors, and municipal and regional partners to share ideas about climate change, natural hazards, and their impacts on our town in cooperation with the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness program, which helps cities and towns across the state to plan for climate change impacts and build more resilient communities. We’ll follow the Nature Conservancy’s Community Resilience Building Workshop process, an “anywhere and at any scale” approach to assessing vulnerabilities and planning for resilience.
We’ll emphasize community-driven and community owned solutions. Assessing the vulnerability of our town’s assets and systems is an important step towards maintaining and improving core services and functions in a changing climate.
There will be representatives from the school, public works, safety, town boards and committees. If you are interested in attending, please contact Karen at SelectmanRibeiro@yahoo.com
