April 8 – 14 is National Library Week, an annual celebration of the life-changing work of libraries, librarians, and library workers. Libraries aren’t just places to borrow books or study. They’re also creative and engaging community centers where people can collaborate using new technologies and develop their skills and passions. We invite you to join us at the Pendleton Community Public Library during the week to celebrate.

Monday, April 9th from 4 – 7 p.m.
Open House
Enjoy refreshments, tours, and a scavenger hunt with prizes.

Tuesday, April 10th
Library Workers Appreciation Day
Like the library on Facebook and learn some little known fun facts about the library.

Wednesday, April 11th
National Bookmobile Day
The library’s bookmobile and mobile food pantry, Read ‘n’ Feed, will be parked at Needler’s from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Step inside and learn how this project is helping the local community.

Thursday, April 12th
Take Action for Libraries Day
Learn about all of the ways, big and small, that you can support your library.

Friday, April 13th
Find Your Passion at the Library
Want to try your hand at drawing, knitting, or woodworking? Watch local artists and craftspeople at work and learn what the library has to help you find your passion.

Saturday, April 14th

Kids in grades 2 – 6 can stop by Mission Control to see how completing STEAM challenges can earn points and prizes.
