Town Yoga's Yogi Marcia will be offering a MINDFUL MONDAY class for people ages 10 - 102 !
Mindful Monday's will consist of a light warm up, a little bit of basic yoga just to get our bodies ready for learning mindfulness tools and meditation.
Our monday intention is to press the pause button and start our week on a mindul, intention driven week.
This will be a chance to help quite the 'Monkey Mind' (the constant chitter chatter in our heads)
Help to manage anxiety, sleep issues, social issues etc.
Benefits of Mindfulness and Medition:
Deepens consentration and sence of self
Teaches to relax through focus and breath
Increases inner awareness and self discipline
Most organized physical activity is either competitive or goal-oriented. Mindful Mondays will give older children-adults an arena to better understand their bodies and minds and appreciate them exactly as they are. In a fast-paced world, mindfulness practices help people discover a peaceful sanctuary within.
(This practice also gives you the opportunity to join an activity with your child, parent, senior, grandparent.)
What to bring: Wear comfy clothes, a pillow and or blanket if you'd like. I do have yoga mats but you'd rather your own bring that too.
We have chairs if you are more comfortable on them than the floor.
