In the weeks leading up to Earth Day, stop by the library for fun citizen science activities! On Monday, April 2, drop by any time between 3 and 5pm and learn about infrared radiation, a type of energy you can feel but not see. You'll use an infrared thermometer to take the temperature of the Earth, concrete, metal, dirt, and other materials, and consider how the temperatures of different surfaces might have an influence on a global scale. This activity will take about 20 minutes and is great for small groups--bring the whole family. No registration is required for this free program, and all supplies will be provided.
