A few of us at PRO recently did the Whole30 – so I thought, if we’re interested in trying it then our running friends probably are too!
What is Whole30? You can think of it as Paleo without the sweets. You eliminate dairy, gluten, alcohol, sugar and processed foods for 30 days. (Did I lose you?.. keep reading..) At the end you re-introduce foods to see what your body might be averse to. Afternoon slump? Foggy brain? Constantly bloated? Probably caused by something you’re eating. I personally experienced increased energy and improved sleep. Everyone experiences it differently and most have positive results! No matter what you go back to as your 'normal' eating habits, you're sure to learn something new and impact your health in a postitive way.
Starting April 29th thru the end of May join Kelly Becker, MS, RD, CD - (a registered dietetian with a masters in food and nutrition management and certified Whole30 coach) on Sunday mornings to help you start each week off on a positive note and give you the knowledge and support to complete a Whole30 program as a runner.
