Grieve, Weave, Remember…
Join us at the Good Sam meeting house to take part in a weaving class. Instruction and materials will be provided, for a small fee, by Katie Conklin, a bereaved mom from the Good Samaritan program and an art teacher. During the class you will learn how to use a weaving loom to “knit” a baby hat. All hats created during the class will be donated to the Perinatal Bereavement Program at Good Samaritan Hospital. Each handmade hat will be given to a family when they lose a baby at the hospital. By doing so, each baby will receive a personal item made with love for him or her.
Each hat will be accompanied by a tag that has “Made in loving memory of _________”. You can write in the name of your child or the baby you are knitting in memory of on the tag so his or her name lives on.
Class will be held 5:30-7:30pm on Friday, April 13th @ the Meeting House.
Cost is $10 per participant. (Payments can be sent via PayPal to secure your spot on the list.)
Class size is limited to 10 participants.
