MARC DOUGLAS BERARDO returns for a rare Sunday evening appearance at Perks & Corks, featuring his crafted original songs and well chosen covers by some of the finest writers of a generation.
Marc Douglas Berardo is the kind of hard working, fast moving and adventure seeking, keen observer who lives for the story and the song. In what amounts to song length works of fiction, Berardo’s sharply drawn portraits cast a net on unusual and beguiling characters and places. He does this “simply and well” with what Rambles Cultural Magazine calls: “careful images and great tunes.”
In the past, Marc has shared the stages with acts such as Kevin Welch, Cheryl Wheeler, The Marshall Tucker Band, Red Molly, John Haitt, The Pousette Dart Band, Cliff Eberhardt, The New Riders of the Purple Sage and The Doobie Brothers.
RI’s Motif Magazine wrote: “Marc Douglas Berardo writes stunning, sharply drawn Americana portrait-like stories.”
"Berardo sounds like a fishing-town Bruce Springsteen (in Nebraska mode), a soft-toned Don Henley, or a James Taylor with a literary side. The comparisons to singer-songwriter greats are infinite. They're also apt." -Fairfield County Weekly, CT.
