Homebound Seniors in Perry Township have been without a food delivery service since August 2016. The time is now to organize and begin providing this important service to our neighbors.
At this meeting we will introduce a dry good product that can be cooked in the crockpot, stovetop or oven. Come taste for yourself and then be prepared to declare how you would like to volunteer. Opportunities include food packaging, gift bag assembly and delivering to our homebound seniors.
This new food program will alleviate stress by connecting seniors and those who care about them so that they remain safe, nourished and healthy.
We are committed to helping all people — especially those in low-income communities and communities of color — feel included and respected.
At Perry Senior Center, we recognize the importance of sharing stories, legacies and lessons learned so that the next generations feel empowered to do the same. Volunteer service to Perry Senior Center serves as an important reminder of the positive impact intergenerational interactions can have on us all.
