Petersfield Museum (using the resources available in the Edward Thomas Study Centre) invites you to join us in some readings from the ‘Diary of Edward Thomas: 1 January – 8 April, 1917’.
There will be an opportunity to listen to extracts read from the diary, some context with passages from ‘The Gambardier’ by Mark Severn (pen name of Major Franklin Lushington, Edward Thomas’ commanding officer in 1917) and also some extracts from letters written by Thomas to his friend the American poet Robert Frost.
If the weather allows, the readings from the Diary will be given in the ‘In Memoriam: 1918’ outdoor exhibition area.
We look forward to you joining us on the 24th. Tickets cost £5 (Members £4), including a glass of Wine, and are available from the Museum. To book, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01730 262601.
