Cat & Kitten Adoption Event - Saturday 4/7
We will have an adoption event from 10:30 AM - 3 PM at PetSmart located at 32413 Temecula Parkway, Temecula, CA 92592. Depending on the weather, we may be inside or outside.
We plan to have the following animals available; however, due to unforeseen issues, there is always a chance a particular kitten may not be there or will only be there part time. Different foster homes are not always able to come. If you are concerned about a certain kitten being there, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will have photos below in the newsletter, but you can see full profiles: http://www.babybobbysmeowhouserescue.org/our-animals.html
The following kittens are available and do not have an identified adopter:
- Toby- Toby (tabby male short hair) was trapped as a feral kitten in the neighborhood of his now foster home. He is a shy cats and about 5 months old. Once he learns to trust you then you can cuddle and pet him. Toby is very soft. There is a video on YouTube at https://youtu.be/lyvPBEV6H04.
- Stella was surrendered by a family because they had a special needs child who would leave the house door open so she would get outside. Stella got attacked by a coyote but has now recovered. To keep her safe, they want her to have a new home. Her previous family wrote us this about her: "Stella is a 1 and a half -year-old grey tabby that loves gentle petting and head rubs. She can be a bit shy in new places and with new people, but she warms up quickly, especially if you offer her a kitty treat! Stella knows her name and will come when you call her. She is a very healthy, playful, friendly and adventurous loving cat that gets along great with other pets. She was raised with a little dog. We would love for Stella to find a caring family."
-Grey is kitten that was surrendered to us. He is pending being neutered and received current shots. Once this is done, he will be available for adoption, but we are taking an interested list and can pre-approve an adopter. His prior home said this about him: "Male kitty born in October we think. His name is Grey. He is a Siamese mix, white and grey. Gets along really good with our cat and pretty good with the dog. My son and his wife brought a kitty home from Texas that was born at her grandmother's farm. They now cannot keep it."
- The Homeless Kitties are available for adoption but will not be at the event. They are shy and the chaos of the store is very stressful. If anyone is interested, we can make alternate arrangements for meeting up. The cats' owners made some decisions that led to her being homeless and leaving her cats on the streets. One of the microchips was registered to our cat rescue so we were contacted about the cats when they were found as strays in LA. The cats are now 4-5 years old. A kind person took the cats in and gave them vet care ($600) until we could get there to rescue them and our cat rescue also reimbursed her. The cats are Precious (female tabby), Tucker (male orange tabby with white), and Charlie (female brown tabby with white). Right now, Charlie is available for adoption. She is a sweet girl but very shy. The other cats picked on her. She will need a patient owner who is willing to be patient in loving her. She is missing her ear tip because she was sterilized by a feral cat rescue but she is not feral.
- Timmy (11 years – short hair brown tabby with white male), Simba (7 years – long hair orange tabby male), and Gizmo (8 years – short hair brown and black tabby male) were adopted as kittens by their former owner. The former owner is living in a broken RV that she could not afford to fix and was worried the RV would be towed with her cats inside it while she was at work as a driver to the disabled. She had not found an affordable pet-friendly new place to live so she gave up her pets to our cat rescue. They are sweet tempered senior males. They are all neutered. The have previously been vaccinated but the former owner was unsure on when they received their last set of vaccinations. The cats can be adopted independently but an ideal placement or fostering situation would keep them together. Normal adoption fees for cats are $50, but we are open to discussion depending on the home. In general, adult cats do not do well at pet adoption events. If a potential adopter is interested then we will bring the cat(s) for a meet and greet. We also allow adoptions on a trial basis to allow you to determine whether the adoption is a compatible fit.
Mystery Cats Coming!!! In addition the the above cats, there will be even more. The foster homes have not provided us with photos so we don't have them listed here. Come out and be surprised by our full selection of fur loving felines! :)
We also post cats and kittens on our website for other organizations and people to help create adoption awareness. We do not manage the adoption process for these cats and kittens. See more potential animals for adoption at http://babybobbysmeowhouserescue.org/our-animals.html
If you are approved to adopt, you can take a cat or kitten home on a trial basis to make sure the animal is compatible with your home life. We will accept any animal back and you can either get your money back or adopt a different cat or kitten. Adoption events are very stressful and the animal may appear unfriendly when they are just scared by barking dogs, rattling shopping carts, and strange hands poking into their cage.
If you are interested in adopting a particular cat or kitten, please make sure you obtain and submit an application by emailing email@example.com then talking with Valarie on the phone about adoption.
We expect to the booth to be busy so you may need to wait; however, if you are "pre-approved" as an adopter, the majority of your adoption process will be done in advance. You will need to confirm the cat you want, sign final paperwork, & pay your fee.
See the cats and kittens on our website at http://www.babybobbysmeowhouserescue.org/our-animals.html.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, FELV tested ,and ready to go to loving forever homes! Adoption Fees are $85 for kittens and $50 for adult cats.
