Pewabic welcomes Brighton-based studio artists Kelly Haehl and Ryan Lack, known for their Michigan mugs, yarn bowls and tiny wheel-thrown vessels, to talk about their art and demonstrate their techniques, 11 AM – 4 PM April 14.
A self-taught potter from Howell, Mich., Lack also teaches ceramics and builds tiny potter’s wheels and experimental kilns. Haehl received her BFA in ceramics from Michigan State University in 2009, and worked as a glaze technician at Pewabic until leaving in 2017 to focus more on her studio career with Lack at Haehl Ceramics.
As part of Second Saturday, Pewabic also offers free docent-guided tours of our historic pottery building April 14. Tours are at noon and 2 PM, and are limited to the first 25 people. Please sign up at the sales desk in the Pewabic store.
