AGE of Central Texas is partnering with the Pflugerville Community Church to host the free Pflugerville Seniors Conference on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The third annual community event will feature area experts discussing aging-related topics that include paying for long-term care, legal and financial issues, and driving safely as you age.
Check-in will start at 9:00 a.m. with a light breakfast and the Resource & Information Fair. From 10:00 a.m. to noon, participants will rotate between two breakout sessions. Michael Gill, President of Texas Senior Living Locators, will discuss “Paying for Long-Term Care,” and Central Texas elder care lawyer G. Gaye Thompson will speak on “The Legal Documents Every Senior Needs to Have”
At noon, Conference participants will again be able to visit the Information & Resource Fair prior to a complimentary lunch. During lunch, keynote speaker Julia Davies from the Baylor Scott & White Health’s Mature Driver Program will present “We Need to Talk,” an informative session that will discuss the impact of aging on driving skills.
