Want to take part in worthwhile training with people who actually care about your development?
Of course you are!
You're in luck because BLLC will be running Mental Health First Aid for Pharmacy, this month for The Pharmacy Guild NSW.
What is Mental Health First Aid for Pharmacy?
In a nut shell, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves.
As the most accessible health professionals, community pharmacists and community pharmacy staff will, at times, need to provide care to people who are experiencing a mental health issue.
The blended MHFA Course is a combination of a self-paced, 6 hour online (eLearning) course with a follow-on half day face-to-face session. Using casestudies, videos and resources tailored to learning needs, you will learn mental health first aid skills which can be applied to help any adult. These include:
• how to recognise signs and symptoms of mental health problems and crises in your customers and co-workers
• risk factors and appropriate evidence-based treatments and supports
• how to respond and offer appropriate support to customers and co-workers using the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan ALGEE
As an authorised provider of MHFA training and with over a decade within the education industry, we are a highly regarded and experienced clinic who is PROUD to provide meaningful skills to our clients, that actually benefit them in both their personal and professional settings.
