March 29th-May 17th, 2018
In this course dancers will learn the core concepts of Bellydance: isolations/technical foundations, posture/body awareness, basic Arabic rhythms, and historical/cultural context. In addition to the physical practice of dance, we also aim to make this course fun, drawing on bellydance's social dance roots to facilitate community and confidence among participants. We ask that all students, regardless of previous experience, start with this course.
