Community members from the South Sudanese Australian community in Melbourne, and service providers working with young people in Melbourne's West, are invited to a performance by South Sudan Voice.
South Sudan Voice is a community-driven project using dialogue theatre to both bring South Sudanese Australians together, as well as bringing greater awareness of South Sudanese culture and issues to non-South Sudanese service providers and community members.
The project is an initiative of members of the Melbourne South Sudanese community, Victoria University, and Free Theatre. The lived experience of community actors challenges audiences to engage in dialogue towards greater communication between participating members of the South Sudanese community and service providers.
This the first professional development opportunity of 2018 for the Maribyrnong Workers with Young People Network(MWWYPN).
A light supper will be provided.
Audiences are restricted to 50 people with 30 seats reserved for community members and 20 seats reserved for service providers so please book ASAP.
