This course has been designed for beginners to learn about Pilates in a comfortable setting, as well as provide existing Pilates students with an opportunity to revise the foundations and achieve better technique during class.
This 5-week course covers the basics of Mat Pilates and you
will learn and practice:
WEEK 1 | Breathing, Pelvic floor and Transverse Abdominus activation (core)
WEEK 2 | Common postural problems & how Pilates can help
WEEK 3 | The original exercises developed by creator Joseph Pilates
WEEK 4 | Types of small equipment used in Pilates
WEEK 5 | Muscle release using trigger point balls and foam rollers

What's included:
- 5 x 90 minute workshops (equipment supplied)
- "find your core" consult with physio in weeks 1 and 2 using real-time ulstrasound
- option to attend any Beginners Pilates timetable classes during course free of charge
