Come join us for a great night of music at Pinewood Coffee Bar with Jaimee Harris and Brody Price on Friday, March 23rd!

Jaimee Harris is poised to become the next queen of Americana-Folk, a slightly edgier Emmylou Harris for the younger generation. Her soon-to-be released debut album draws comparisons to Patty Griffin, Ryan Adams, and Kathleen Edwards – all writers who know how to craft a heartbreakingly beautiful song with just enough grit to keep you enthralled. Harris writes about the basic human experience in a way that is simple, poetic, and often painfully relatable. Harris’s talent has impressed artists and critics alike. Jimmy LaFave deemed her his “new favorite” and Peter Blackstock of the Austin-American Statesman called her “one of Austin’s most promising young singer-songwriters.”.

Brody Price is a songwriter to the core, delivering stripped down country music in which the lyrics take center stage, proving that volume isn’t the only thing capable of turning heads. As a teenager, Price fell in love with lyricists such as Todd Snider, John Prine and Guy Clark, and discovered that country music has always had a special place reserved for the outcast. Price’s debut EP, “Saving Up,” a small but striking collection of stripped down country songs, earned him a foothold in a budding scene of young back-to-basic song writers. His sophomore effort, “What’s the Point in Trying,” is a full-length collection of what Price calls, “weirdo country.” Due out in the spring of 2018, this project presents the opportunity for Price to flex his writing muscles as a truly unique voice in American music.
