PIP expo presents: squeeze, stuff, pull, pack.
by Laura Snijders & Inge Vaandering
For their first collaboration, Laura and Inge explore new ways of presenting fashion. Their main question, that will remain unanswered and continue to be a subject of research is: How can fashion, the body and space be combined?
Laura Snijders is currently graduating in fashion from the Royal Academy of Arts. She takes inspiration from people in the streets, material experiments and everyday paradoxes. She likes to see how people find their own logic in wearing their clothes. By making collages and photographing shapes on her own body she comes to a collection that questions the conventions in fashion.
Inge Vaandering is currently studying fashion at The Royal Academy of Arts and focusses on perception of textile, clothes, objects and space, or how they relate to each other. By using a wide range of techniques and materials she tries to create tension between her work and the spectator and make the spectator more conscious of his senses.
