Led by London based guitarist and composer Andy Little, this blistering band blends modern funk and jazz in bold and daring arrangements. Returning to the club after their sell out debut show, Andy’s band comprises some of the UK jazz funk scene’s hottest musicians. Their music is crafted to captivate and spiritualise the senses through gutsy grooves and energetic solos.
"A delicious slice of contemporary funked-up soul jazz, is also firm favourite around these parts". - The Jazz Meet
With funk at the heart of everything, this band draws influence from jazz, soul, and anything else compelling. Their compositions are interspersed with long improvised passages which allow the band to interact and communicate in the moment, transcending a mere recital and becoming a source of expression for every player. This is balanced with Andy’s arrangements allowing for ideas to be explored intricately and reflectively, resulting in the best of both worlds.
Andy’s band members all have a few things in common: passion, grit and a thirst for making original music. They consist of high-in-demand session players, having performed with the likes of Mighty Mocambos, Sir Joe Quarterman, Speedometer, The Snitch, Monophonics, Funkestra, The Shaolin Afronauts, Clark Tracey Sextet, Laurence Cottle, Jim Mullen, Mornington Locket, Shola Ama, to name but a few.
