Our first beginner's contortion class at Pole Fit, Stoke on Trent. Focusing on deepening those backbends, creating strength and movement in our stretches, and developing advanced flexibility in poses such as needlescales and splits.
You should have a good amount of flexibility to take this class and not be a complete novice. Ideally a split on at least one leg is desirable, and be comfortable with performing a number of bridge poses.
Be sure to wear layers of removeable clothing to keep you warm and if you have long hair, bring a hair band to secure it back. Cameras or a charged phone to take photographs are ideal. Bring a drink for refreshments and if you have a foam roller or any yoga blocks which you like to use in your flexibility training, bring them along too.
We do have a limited amount of yoga blocks and also have straps etc. Mats are provided.
