Ponca State Park Tour:
Mark your calendars for May 5th! We have been invited to come tour Ponca State Park and hear about their outdoor education programs. This is a great way to see and learn about the park, as well as get involved and earn some continuing education & volunteer hours!
Learn about the background of Ponca State Park, outdoor education programs, summer and year-round events, and naturalist opportunities, include nest box monitoring, PSP species database collection, and gardening opportunities.
Schedule for may 5th
9:45 am: Arrive and meet at the Resource and Education Center
10:00 am-11:30 Welcome and Introduction to the Park by Maria Korver, Assistant Park Superintendent
11:30 pm- 12:30 pm: Paper bag Lunch (bring your own) and Explore the Resource and Education Center
12:30 pm-3:00 pm Hayrack tour of the Park and Archery Activity.
3:00 pm: Dismissed & safe travels
A group campsite will be provided for free those that would like to tent camp. RV sites are available and can be reserved by call the park at 402-755-2284. Cost is $20 per night for an electric site.
