This week. April 8th, we return to our Sunday series Towards New Life in the Mind. Narottama will lead meditation and introduce the fourth of the seven factors of an awakened mind –– Joy. This is the joy and enthusiasm that follows naturally with the development of radiating Energy and a sense that we are full of life.
The new growth and melting snow of springtime reminds us of impermanence and also brings us joy. Through the rest of April, as we witness the reawakening of the natural world around us, we will continue to explore the seven qualities of an awakened mind – mindfulness, self-reflection, energy, joy, tranquility, clear awareness, and equanimity. Where do we already experience them in our lives and how can we cultivate them more fully?
Whether you can take part in just one or all of these explorations, come see what the PBC community gets up to on Sunday mornings. We offer a space for meditation, quiet reflection, learning about the Buddha's teaching, and great conversation. Join us in the coming weeks to share some springtime energy, and find some fresh inspiration about where our practice can take us.
