Hosted by POST + Julia and Nancy, from Detroit Abloom
Saturday April 21st from 4 to 6pm
$50, includes plants and all materials
Pretty succulents and statement jewelry...two of our favorite things!
During this make & take workshop, Julia and Nancy will share their passion for gardening, plant care, and some crafty skills. Rather than simply adding succulents to your home garden, you will use them to adorn yourself! We will be creating rings and earrings using metal findings and a selection of living succulents, moss, and colorful dried flowers - all from their urban farm, right here in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood.
In addition to the creation of wearable jewelry, Juia and Nancy will discuss how to transplant and care for the plants. The pieces will be wearable for 1-2 weeks but then you need to care for them, right? These little beauties will thrive and multiply when properly cared for at home.
Everyone will make and take home a ring and a pair of earrings.
