Jasbir Puar is Associate Professor of Women's & Gender Studies at Rutgers University, where her work focuses on feminist globalization studies, immigration and diasporas, queer studies, and sexualities studies. In addition to The Right to Maim, she is also the author of Terrorist Assemblages: Homonationalism in Queer Times, which won the 2007 Cultural Studies Book Award from the Association for Asian American Studies.
