With courage, creativity and love of improvisation and experimentation Julie Falkevik Tungevåg mixes the nordic jazz touch with quirky and elegant pop melodies that has a tendency to linger in the ear. The songs move confidently between singer-songwriter-aestetics, lyrical instrumental passages, riff-based solos and the flexibility of a jazz-based atmosphere. Julie is actively working with extending the piano sonic pallet by integrating live electronics and effects in her pianoplaying – and this gives her music a cool and electronic vibe.
Julie will release her debut album upcoming fall under the name FALKEVIK.
