2017 was the 100th anniversary of the America's entry into the Great War, now known as World War I. The library will be hosting a special program by Arn Kind who will provide an exciting living history program all about "The War to End All Wars." This includes information about the huge contribution made by the people of Minnesota. Learn about the new technologies, including the tank, the airplane, the submarine and the use of gas which made the air, the sea and the battlefields of WWI extremely lethal.

The Preston Area Arts Council is a co-sponsor for this program and will serve refreshments following the event..

This project has been funded by the people of Minnesota through the Arts and Cultural Heritage/Library Legacy fund in cooperation with SELCO – the regional library system.
