In celebration of San Antonio’s tricentennial, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is one of the partners that will present an exhibition that will illuminate the 300 years of our hometown’s history. Common Currents is a diverse, encyclopedic showcase of San Antonio’s history as told and rewritten by more than 300 visual and performing artists, invited to participate by their peers, and presented over 6 venues. Fifty artists were assigned to the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and will exhibit one piece of art depicting a year between 1868-1917.
A select number of artists will talk about their work during this presentation open to AARP members and their guest on April 12.
The exhibit will be on display through April 29.
