CONSERVATION VOLUNTEERS – The HLF LNR Conservation Group will be carrying out practical conservation activities on the sites of Woodnook Vale and Peel Park/The Coppice which are the Local Nature Reserves. Volunteers will help us to preserve these special areas whilst learning new skills, discovering the natural heritage on their doorstep, meeting new people and taking in some fresh air and hearty exercise. Wear warm, old clothes and sensible, strong shoes or boots. Bring a packed lunch and waterproof clothing. We provide tools, gloves, materials and hot drinks. Contact Roger Plum if you need transport to the conservation session. The PROSPECTS Foundation has received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for this exciting project, ‘Connecting People to Hyndburn’s Natural Heritage’, which focuses on Hyndburn’s treasured green spaces of Woodnook Vale and Peel Park/The Coppice.
Sessions take place at various locations on a Monday & Tuesday Contact Roger Plum if you need the location and/or transport to the conservation session. For more information phone Roger Plum, 01254 230348, 07974 626835 or email roger.plum@prospectsfoundation.org.uk
