As part of the Keep Massachusetts Beautiful program, Ptown Beaches and Street Cleanup will join towns throughout the Commonwealth during the month of April in a united effort to clear the seashore, roadways, woods, streams and ponds of plastic pollution and other debris.
The Center for Coastal Studies and the Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore are hosting a beach clean-up at Herring Cove on Saturday, April 21 from 10 am - noon. Meet at the south end of the Herring Cove parking lot (take a left at the main entrance). Bring work gloves and dress for the weather!
To register for the beach cleanup, call Jesse Mechling at 508-487-3622 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Provincetown Recycling and Renewable Energy Committee and the Department of Public Works are hosting a town-wide clean-up at the same time. Street clean-up volunteers will be provided by the DPW, bags and gloves will be provided by CCS. Meeting and cleanup locations will be throughout town, based on participation.
Julie Knapp, owner of Twisted Pizza, subs, and Ice Cream and supporter of many community events, has offered a coupon for free pizza to all volunteers!
To register for the street cleanup, sign up on the Provincetown Recycling and Renewable Energy Facebook page, call the DPW 508-487-7060, or email email@example.com
