Poppy Appeal 2018:
The RSA Poppy Appeal has been a part of the New Zealand calendar since 1922, making it one of the country’s oldest nationwide appeals.
Appeal activities peak the Friday before Anzac Day, when thousands of volunteers take to the streets to collect donations in
exchange for the unique Red Poppy
In 2018, our appeal is focusing on service-related mental and psychological injuries, which are emerging as the most prevalent
–but least understood
–type of wounding New Zealand's servicemen and women receive while on operational deployments today
This is captured in our Poppy Appeal theme:
Not all wounds bleed
Where Do Funds Go?
