This workshop is an introduction to Japanese papermaking and Printmaking within a comfortable, professional artist's studio in Glasgow.
Participants will use typical Oriental plant fibres such as Kozo, Gampi and Mitsumata to make a lovely selection of papers in various sizes on the first day. An introduction to Japanese Mokuhanga printing will then follow the next 2 days. Woodblocks will be carved and a small edition printed on Japanese papers using traditional cutting knives, Japanese inking brushes and barens (printing pads).
