We are pleased to announce the 13th Conference – “Climate Change – How To Sustain Your Future.” This conference is free and open to the public.

This year, the Purdue Student Pugwash conference focuses on the societal dimensions relating to current issues of climate change and sustainable development. Other conference speakers will include but not limited to: Dr. Jeffrey Dukes, Director of Purdue Climate Change Research Center, the Lafayette Columbian Park Zoo Mobile Zoo program with animal ambassadors, and Dr. Manjana Milkoreit, Assistant Professor of Political Science. We realize that these issues are complex subjects, and Pugwash will strive to incorporate a diversity of perspectives and details for them. A series of presentations and a subsequent workshop will also allow participants to actively discuss the different topics presented in the conference.

Following the conference, there will be a Student Pugwash USA
sponsored workshop series. The workshop series is by application only reserved for 8-12 selected students who will also receive a scholarship for completing a give-back activity. More information can be found at: http://www.spusa.org/

First 50 students at the door receive eco-planter and basil seeds to grow! Hors D'oeurves and refreshments to be held Friday evening; breakfast on Saturday
