“Both [of us] had been working with a lot of different singers before, but neither one of us had experienced this chemistry, for some reason we never had to work on the harmonies, it just felt right from the start,” says Ronnie.
Each coming from very different backgrounds musically, they found common ground in pop/country. They admire artists like Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift, occasionally covering current artists with their own sweet harmonic sound.
Ronnie formed his first rock band at 17, playing mostly Metallica covers and a lot of heavy metal. When his first band faded, he traveled to Greece where he experienced great success in another band playing 5 sets, 7 days a week, 7 months at a time. Soon after, Ronnie enrolled at the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA, determined to become a rock singer. During his stay in the U.S. was his first exposure to country music and he slowly gained a lovefor it. “I just sat there listening to KZLA 93.9 and bit by bit the country music replaced my rock singing dreams.” After graduation, he returned home to Sweden to fulfill his new passion for country.
Andrea Bond discovered her talent for singing at the age of 16 when she enrolled in a musical theater class in high school. Struggling to find a spark for her studies, the fire was lit when she began to sing. After high school, she continued her musical theater studies at the Ballet Academy’s (Balletakademien) Music Program and graduated in 2000. Andrea spent 4 years working at Cabaret Lorensberg in Gothenburg before she was asked to be a contestant on the popular Swedish TV show, Fame Factory, where she achieved 6th place. The exposure landed her a management deal and a she was a member of the Fame Factory Tour through the summer of 2005. Andrea has been pursuing her dream as an independent artist ever since.
Recording their first single together in 2012 entitled, “Six Feet Under,” Sentiment Falls spent the following two years perfecting their style. A brief stint on the Swedish version of X-Factor that same year created enough buzz to keep them motivated.
It wasn’t until pairing with producer Martin Carlberg in 2014 that the duo really began to take off. Ronnie explains, “He had the energy and the musical skills we needed, and with our own record label behind us, we could now enforce our vision more clearly.”
Their album, “Nothing On Me,” is putting Sentiment Falls on the map and has been extremely well received by critics, colleagues, and most importantly, FANS. The title track won 2nd place on a radio-based talent show out of over 10,000 other submissions.
Sentiment Falls continues to follow their passion and sing songs with a meaningful message. “The message is ”everyday” feelings...joy and sorrow. All those things that everyone can relate to…it all comes down to; if we feel it, we sing it.”
