Join us at HSBC’s Annual General Meeting to call on HSBC to end its complicity with Israeli war crimes.
When: Friday 20 April 2018, 10 AM-1 PM
Where: outside Queen Elizabeth II conference centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE (nearest tube; Westminster or St. James Park)
What: protest outside the AGM to send a clear message to HSBC and to its shareholders:
* Divest from companies that supply weapons and military technology to Israel;
* Stop loaning money and providing financial services to companies complicit in war crimes against the Palestinian people;
* End your profiteering from Israel’s militarised oppression of the Palestinians.
Bring banners and placards (we’ll provide some too), and we’ll have letters to hand to shareholders as they arrive to ensure that shareholders attending the AGM will know that HSBC’s name will be synonymous with war crimes and apartheid if it doesn’t change its ways.

Israel uses military force to maintain its oppression of Palestinians. It targets people with tear gas grenades, rubber-coated bullets and live ammunition, and carries out mass arrests, house demolitions and extrajudicial executions.
HSBC is a major shareholder in companies selling weapons and military technology to Israel and also provides those companies with the loans they need to operate.
In summer 2017, people across the UK launched a campaign to pressure HSBC to cut all ties with companies selling weapons and security services to Israel’s repressive regime. Activists held pickets at HSBC branches in over 20 locations in the UK, and thousands of people have emailed HSBC demanding divestment from companies involved in the arms trade with Israel. This AGM protest is the next phase in ramping up the pressure on HSBC to stop arming Israel.
