Breaking on to the Brisbane jazz-scene with their gig at Doo-Bop Jazz Bar last September, The Joel Aspinall Quartet will now play material composed and arranged by Ari Hoenig, Walter Smith III, Bernie Mcgann, Dale Barlow and Quentin Angus at QPAC's Green Jam. The Quartet is made up of Joel Aspinall, Charles Hill, Goran Gajić and Nic Reynolds.
Joel Aspinall is a Brisbane saxophonist currently in his third year at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Joel has been in numerous groups including the Con Big Band, Con Fusion and the John Hoffman Ensemble—and continues to be a busy freelance performer on the Brisbane music scene. He is currently a core member of Brisbane’s premier roots/ska band Fat Picnic, having played at venues and festivals across Australia, including Splendour in the Grass, Caloundra Music Festival, Island Vibe and the Great Australian Beer Festival.
Join us at QPAC’s Green Jam to hear the Joel Aspinall Quartet bring it to you live on the Melbourne Street Green!
