New Volunter Orientation is the first step for anyone 16 years and older who is interested in becoming a Volunteer at the Lancaster Animal Care Center. An application must already have been received by the Volunteer Coordinator to be invited to this meeting.

Volunteer duties include but are not limited to customer service, enrichment and socialization of animals, cleaning, adoption events, and more. The work is not always glamorous but it makes a difference...the efforts of volunteers help make the animals in our care as adoptable as possible!

Please keep in mind that as a volunteer you will be a community representative for the County of Los Angeles. Expectations of behavior and representation, including the Volunteer Code of Ethics, will be explained.

Any questions please reach out to Volunteer Coordinator Christine Colvin at ccolvin@animalcare.lacounty.gov
