Join NRA Women's Wilderness Escape Official for two days of long range shooting and hunting instruction at the Queen Mountain Guest Ranch near Evanston, Wyoming, scheduled for June 7-10, 2018.

Fourteen students will have the opportunity to learn new shooting skills on the Camilla, Weatherby Inc.'s first rifle designed by women for women. Each student will have her own Camilla, topped with a Freedom Scopes 4-12x40 from Leupold Optics to use during the class. At the end, each student will have the opportunity to purchase the Camilla and Leupold she used at VIP pricing.

This two-day course is designed for women who want to learn new shooting and hunting skills in an actual hunting environment from top long range instructors, guides and outfitters.

On day one, students will learn:
• How to zero a rifle
• Shooting basics that apply in the field
• Cheek weld
• Recoil management
• Trigger control
• Breathing
• Proper grip
• Positional shooting
• Reading wind and mirage
• Hunting ammo selection
• First round hits
• Learning your ethical hunting range
• Rifle maintenance and cleaning

Day two will be spent at varying elevations, utilizing skills learned on day one in different hunting scenarios. Students will work in pairs while engaging targets from unknown distances in common hunting shooting positions.

You will have the opportunity to shoot across draws, uphill, downhill, all at different distances.

The Queen Mountain Guest Ranch is about 30 minutes south of Evanston, Wyoming. To get there, fly to Salt Lake City, Utah where we will pick you up and transport you to the lodge.
