Join us as part of OCRRA's volunteer litter cleanup crew and help beautify our community on Saturday, April 21, 2018. This will be our seventh year running of hosting a clean-up site on Syracuse's southside.
Last year, more than 6,800 Onondaga County residents collected over 73,000 pounds of litter during the annual Earth Day Litter Cleanup.
This event has been recognized nationally by Keep America Beautiful, a nonprofit organization devoted to engaging individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community’s environment.
In addition, we'll be gardening and farming the Rahma Edible Food Forest project. Cleaning up the site, clearing out old plant materials for the compost pile, and maybe planting new specimens if the nurseries ship to us in time. Come explore the food forest, meet some of the stewards, and lend a hand.
